You don’t have to keep putting your needs off until tomorrow. It’s time to start taking care of you.

Meet Dr. Julie O’Hara, LMFT, PMH-C and Perinatal Therapist in California and Arizona

You have more on your plate than ever before and taking care of yourself and your relationship seems like a distant dream. You spend your days taking care of everyone and everything else.

It’s time we take care of you.

My approach to therapy is one of curiosity, compassion and a touch of humor. I believe each person has their own unique experience and deserves a place to speak openly and honestly without fear of being judged. I take great pride in creating that space for my clients and it is truly a privilege that my clients share their stories with me.

The clients I work with are ready to dive in and see change happen. My clients understand that the work is not easy but trust I will be there alongside them with support and encouragement the entire way. Together we will identify a path toward feeling like yourself again. By identifying manageable changes that are tailored to your lifestyle and circumstances, you will experience immediate and sustainable progress.

I offer sessions virtually which allows for flexible scheduling and the ability to meet in the comfort of your own home.

You’ve told yourself to keep pushing on, but the light at the end of the tunnel just isn’t coming.

Why wait until you see the light to start feeling more like yourself and enjoying life again?

As a mother, I understand the transition to parenthood impacts all areas of one’s life. The life you had before having a baby will never be the same. It can be even better.

What if you could come out of this experience with a stronger connection to your partner and your identity? I teach parents tools to feel confident in their approach to parenting, regain their identity outside of being a parent, and strengthen their relationship with their partner.

Clients often say they can tell me anything. They trust that I always have their best interests in mind and will support them when they are at their best and at their worst. There are no perfect parents and my clients feel comfortable sharing about their imperfections knowing I will respond with empathy and compassion.

Therapy with me is not a rigid step-by-step process so sessions can look different from week to week. Each session is tailored to your needs and may include processing an experience from the past week or utilizing an exercise to learn a new communication technique.
